Where's the dove with the olive branch already?

I got to Virginia on September 2nd and until 2 days ago it hadn't rained except for about 3 minutes one night. As of right now, it has been raining for 3 days straight. I don't mean on and off rain either, it has been raining every minute of every hour of the past 3 days. It goes between a downpour and a sprinkle but it's always raining. I brought my power tools with me, they're in the closet, so if I need to build an ark I'm ready.
